ACJC Community Involvement Programme
Service with Integrity, Service with Thought
ACJC believes firmly that community involvement is a key means of character development. The CIP Programme provides many varied opportunities for students to better understand and respond to the needs of others, and in the process, grow to become more thoughtful individuals with compassion and integrity. Through service-learning, students develop themselves into young men and women with the tenacity and passion to make a real difference to others. Our many sustained partnerships with organisations engaged in various sectors of community need enable us to connect students to service opportunities that fit their talents and needs. All college-managed and CCA-managed CIP activities are specifically crafted to maximise the potential contribution and learning of our students, be they sportsmen, performing artistes or any student keen on testing their capacity for servant leadership. A plethora of self-initiated CIP are also made available for students to explore areas specific to their interests. Overseas CIP opportunities are also available for students to learn from serving communities of a different culture, with their own specific urgent needs. Such opportunities help provide our students with the valuable chance to interact and build lasting bonds with communities outside Singapore. With such varied opportunities, our students grow to become young adults with strong moral character.
