APPLICANT ELIGIBITY
Our audition panel seeks to
identify students with high levels of theatrical talent and abilities in acting
or performing or technical arts
Applicants are to have
achieved the following minimum vocal qualifications:
v
LAMDA Voice and/or Trinity Guildhall (minimum Grade
6) or equivalent
And/or
v
Students who are
highly proficient in movement or acting or technical arts are to show a record
of high levels of achievement on their areas e.g. National and International
Competitions and/or State Representations / international conferences /
professional internships.
SELECTION PROCESS
v
A successful
audition is the key requirement for admission through this area of theatrical
talents. Satisfying the abovementioned complete
set of criteria does not guarantee successful direct admission into ACJC.
v
Candidates are
required to present one classical and
one contemporary monologue of 5 minutes each. The performance audition
repertoire should be of good technical and expressive standard.
v
Candidates with
technical arts applications must pre-submit their portfolios (both hard and
soft copy) and demonstrate where relevant, their technical skills in areas of
theatre arts such as lighting or sound at interviews.
v
All candidates
will also be required to attend an interview.
v
Students
applying for Direct School Admission into
Applicants
are to include the following supporting documents:
v
Certified true
copies of relevant certifications and record of achievements if dramatic arts
experience.
v
A teacher's letter
of recommendation with your application.
v
Secondary 3 and
4 mid-terms and year-end examination reports.
Only
successful candidates will be informed via email and/or phone.
Successful
candidates, upon acceptance, must join the ACSian Theatre during their stay at
