THE TELLER AND THE TALE: ACJC PHYSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL
30 and 31 July 2009
Anglo-Chinese Junior College was proud to present and host the inaugural ACJC Physical Theatre Festival. Entitled "The Teller and The Tale", the festival celebrated the art of gestural and physical story-telling and the vibrant energy of youth in the area of theatre.
The key note speakers, Filomar Tariao and Christina Sergeant, set the tone for each night and over the two nights, the audience was treated to a variety of separate performances that allowed them to be drawn into magical worlds as the young artistes played physical storytellers in their own unique ways.
The featured groups included ACSian Theatre, ACJC Drama Elective Programme, Gan Eng Seng School, Global Indian School (East Coast) and St Nicholas Girls’ Secondary’s O Level Drama Programme. ACJC would like to thank all concerned for their passion and support.
