When was the Olympics first held? Who won the Men's 100m gold medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games? What are the 5 sporting activities in Modern Pentathlon?
These are some of the questions posed to the participants in The GREAT Trivia Challenge (Olympiad Edition), which was organised by the 10 selected ACJC students as part of the Grassroots Enrichment, Attachment & Training (GREAT) programme.

An annual flagship programme of the ACJC Student Development Department, the GREAT programme was ignited by the need to provide students with enriching opportunities for leadership development and the experience of serving real community needs. Last year, the GREAT participants took part in 5 activities that revolve around the Enrichment-Attachment-Training model.
Enrichment: Students learn about the history of the grassroots movement in Singapore and the roles of the various grassroots organisations at the Grassroots Heritage Centre, as well as attend a short introductory workshop on social assistance by the North West Community Development Council.
Attachment: Students help the Member of Parliament (MP) to serve his residents at the Meet-the-People Session by preparing letters of appeal to relevant government agencies, as well as attend a monthly meeting of the Ulu Pandan Youth Executive Committee to learn how youths can contribute to their constituency.
Training: Facilitated and mentored by YEC members, the students plan a community activity to benefit the Ulu Pandan constituency. To coincide with the Olympics theme of the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC Youth Community Day, the students organised The GREAT Trivia Challenge (Olympiad Edition) to help spread the awareness of the Youth Olympics Games 2010.
The GREAT Trivia Challenge saw over 50 young participants in teams from various schools vying for the prizes which included medals and vouchers. The winning team of Reyor Ko Teck Ee (1SA2), Chua Yong Quan (1SA2) and Jonathan Tan Sheng An (1SA3) was from ACJC.
