Starting with an encouraging intake of members, 2008 has been a particularly fruitful year. Through fun moments, arduous trainings and the subsequent organization of the Lifeguard March Camp, our J1s were soon well integrated within the CCA.

The 9th NUS Invitational Lifesaving Championships was the highlight of the year. Despite severe competition against experienced teams from universities, polytechnics and swimming clubs, our desire to bring glory to ACJC fuelled our competitive spirit and we secured a 7th (overall) placing out of 14 strong teams. We also attained a commendable 4th in the Super-Lifesaver and the 4x50 Medley Relay. |

‘To break our personal best’ has been our mantra which kept us afloat. We began as individuals and ended as a team; training hard and competing together with one heart. Likewise, we continue to do so as this shared experience connects us.

We would like to express our immense gratitude to our CCA teacher Mr. Karman Chua, our coaches Mr. Edward Thong-Ann and Mr. Jeremy Tan for taking us through this incredible journey.
It is our hope that our J1s will continue our legacy, bringing ACJC Lifeguard Corps to even greater heights.
