SYF Gold for ACSian Theatre
On the 15th of May this year, ACSian Theatre represented the college in the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging Competition for Drama with its entry, ‘In Quest of Conscience’. We are glad to announce that the college was awarded Gold for the production .
Adapted from Robert David MacDonald’s play of the same title, it deals with the harrowing incidents of the Holocaust, using the events in the Nazi death camp, Treblinka, as a platform to explore the nature of the human conscience.

Using a creatively crafted partnership between the ensemble and the lead actors, ‘In Quest of Conscience’ features a technical combination of vivid lighting and an emblematic soundscape. Together, these bring to life the worlds of the Holocaust and its aftermath of the Nuremberg Trials. Characterized by distinct emotional peaks and troughs, deep pathos and captivating moments of tense silence, the piece unnerved, touched and enriched the hearts and minds of its audience.

ACSian Thaetre gained many priceless memories from this experience and has much cause for thanksgiving. ACSian Theatre is grateful to our teachers-in-charge, Mrs. Geetha Creffield, Ms. Michelle Wong and Ms. Sangeetha Dorairaj for their tireless support, guidance and love. Also deserving of thanks are all who have supported us through the SYF season, and most of all, God, for His constant enabling and blessings.
