The Anglo-Chinese Junior College Choir came home from a successful tour to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia from 11-21 June, clinching top marks in all the 3 categories which it competed, at the 4th International Festival of Choirs - Grand Prix St. Petersburg".
The ACJC Choir competed alongside choirs from Sweden, Slovakia, Finland and fellow Singapore ensembles during the festival. Decked in their ethnic colours, the choir performed a repertoire of Asian, Scandinavian and commissioned choral works, emerging winners with full scores of 100 points in the Youth, Mixed and Folk Choir categories.
Even more enriching were the many opportunities for the choir to perform in joint-concert with renowned Russian choir, Ensemble Zlovast in Moscow, and to engage in choral exchanges with Russian and Swedish choral groups while in St. Petersburg.
The choir is humbled by the Lord's blessings throughout the tour and would like to sincerely thank all staff, parents, alumni and well-wishers for their support and prayers.
