DSA Application for 2008

Direct School Admission Junior College (DSA-JC) Exercise 2008

 

Anglo-Chinese Junior College welcomes students with outstanding talents from various fields (Sports, Performing Arts and Debates) to apply for Direct School Admission. ACJC firmly believes in holistic education and aims to provide an excellent environment which nurtures your abilities and enables you to reach your fullest potential. We warmly invite you to join our family of multi-talented students to hone your sporting and artistic talents. 

Successful applicants will gain admission into ACJC in January 2009 for their JC education as long as they achieve a result of L1R5 20 points or under in their GCE 'O' Level examinations.

Application Procedures

Application Forms are available on the College website until 6 Aug 2008. The completed forms with the required supporting documents can be submitted to ACJC via post or in person.  The window of submission is as follows:

 

•    DSA Phase 1: from Now to 5.00 pm, 22 Jul 2008
•    DSA Phase 2: from 25 Jul 2008 to 5.00 pm, 6 Aug 2008


Students who have submitted applications during Phase 1 but are not offered a place need not submit new applications for Phase 2 as all applications will automatically be considered for both phases.

 
To give adequate time to students in preparing for the DSA trials/auditions, it is strongly recommended that Performing Arts/Debates application forms should reach ACJC no later than 14 Jul 2008 for Phase 1 and by 5 Aug 2008 for Phase 2; while Sports application forms should reach ACJC no later than 18 Jul 2008 for Phase 1 and by 6 Aug 2008 for Phase 2.

 

Results of DSA Applications

Applicants will know the outcome of their DSA application by the following dates:

                DSA Phase 1:  22 July 2008
             DSA Phase 2:  6 August 2008

 

Acceptance of DSA Offer

Successful applicants must accept the DSA offer within the following period as set out by MOE:

                DSA Phase 1: 23 - 25 Jul 2008 (By 3.00 p.m.)
             DSA Phase 2: 12 - 15 Aug 2008 (By 3.00 p.m.)
