The ACJC Bowling Team competed in the National Schools ‘A’ Division Championships 2008 from 22 April to 3 May and returned triumphant with one of the best results seen in the college’s history. The bowlers’ nerves of steel and sheer determination saw them through this tough competition in which they faced tremendous competition from the other schools. The girls’ team came in overall first runners-up and the boys’ team came in first, bringing back the championship title after a three year hiatus. The bowlers also managed to sweep away many trophies in the singles, doubles, quartet and all events categories.

National Schools ‘A’ Division Master’s Challenge 2008

For the first time ever, the ‘A’ Division Master’s Challenge trophies for both boys and girls went to the ACJC bowlers. Elvin Lin (2SA6) and Victoria Lim (2SD1) emerged as the Boys and Girls ‘A’ Division Master’s Champions respectively. Tan Chng Kiat also clinched the Master’s 1st runner-up for boys while Yap Yong Liang bowled a high game of 253 in the Master’s for boys.
